Vibe Check

The mission of this design is to create an app where grandparents and grandchildren who are currently social distancing can play a card game while video chatting. Vibe Check is like Old Maid in that you draw cards from each other and get rid of the pairs in your hands. The theme of the cards in Vibe Check are trending pop culture and 1950s-1970s pop culture references.

What makes Vibe Check unique is that it will spark meaningful conversation between grandparents and grandchildren through pop culture references. Instead of not wanting to be left with the Old Maid card, you do not want to be left with the Vibe Check card. Becoming an old maid does not have the same negative connotation today, but nobody wants to be vibe-checked!
